Very nice T. I bet you didn\'t know it but I once ran with BCEMS. Had my EMT licence for a short period of time but let it expire when I was hired as a Deputy. Couldn\'t keep up with the required hours while I was still going to West Liberty for Criminal Justice and doing the Job. My oldest brother Frank ran with the squad for a long time as well. I feel rather connected to BCEMS. Keep up the good work.
Brooke County EMS is a wonderful place to work. The citizens are absolutely wonderful people! I signed up for EMT class the day I found out that my Gramma O had breast cancer. The class lasted about 6 mo. I got my license on 10-21-2000, and my Gram lost her battle on 10-30-2000. She was the reason I did this. The people that came to her home were always so caring. I especially love working with the elderly population because it reminds me just why I choose this path! She was so proud to see me pass my test! If you know anything about me, I am a Breast Cancer Awareness nut, and almost everything I own is pink! I also wear a pink stethoscope to remind me of her while I am on the job! I Love EMS, It is not about the pay, it is not about the hours, It is ALL about the people to me!!!!!!
Being an EMT is a way for me to give back to the community that has embraced and blessed me. Knowing we make a difference is the intrinsic reward we all receive.
I just wanted to let you know that you did a great job on this site! It looks very professional and it shows how much you care about your job and BCEMS!
